Now a 63-year-old grey-haired grandad, Page says: 'Yes. Page confirms that he once went without sleep for five nights running in the middle of their 1973 American tour. 'That's a bit unfortunate for all the people that would have liked to have seen us, but I can understand why some of the other members don't want to be touring.'īearing in mind some of the stories about the band's past tours, perhaps that is not surprising. 'At the moment I'm told we're doing one gig,' says Page. Sadly for the millions of fans who can't get tickets to the gig, the band have said this will be the very last time they'll play together. Page says: 'We had the first rehearsal in May or June just to get together and see how we got on and whether it would be a goer and straight away it was Boom!' Jason Bonham, son of the band's drummer John, whose death in 1980 caused the band to break up, will be playing the drums at the reunion gig.
